Gather 'round, friends, and let me tell you a cautionary tale. A story of hope, disappointment, and absolutely terrible customer service.

The Setup:
Last month, I was drowning in projects. Three design critiques, a typography final, AND a 5-page art history response paper due the same week. My brain was literally a beige color (and not the good kind of beige, the "I'm dying" kind).

I found EssayRoo through a Google search. Their website is cute. Very modern, very "we're different." They had a live chat with a friendly person who promised me the moon. I ordered a 5-page paper on "The Bauhaus Movement and Its Influence on Modern Design." Paid $140.
The Paper Arrived:
And it was... bad. Like, really bad.

The Refund Request:
I contacted support within 2 hours of receiving the paper. Explained the issues, provided screenshots, asked for a full refund.
Their Response:

- It confused the Bauhaus with the International Style (different things!!)
- Misspelled "Gropius" as "Gropus" (which sounds like a fungus)
- Had exactly 2 sources, both from random blogs
- The conclusion was literally one sentence: "In conclusion, the Bauhaus was important."
The Refund Request:
I contacted support within 2 hours of receiving the paper. Explained the issues, provided screenshots, asked for a full refund.
Their Response:
10%?? For a paper that called Walter Gropius a "design guy from Germany"??"Thank you for contacting EssayRoo support. We have reviewed your request and determined that the paper meets our quality standards. We can offer you a 10% refund as a courtesy."
The Fight:
I spent TWO WEEKS going back and forth with support. They:
- Offered 15% (I said no)
- Offered 25% (I said no)
- Offered a free revision (I didn't trust them to fix it)
- Eventually stopped replying
The Lesson:
- Check refund policies BEFORE you order
- Screenshot everything
- If a site has lots of 5-star reviews but they all sound the same, be suspicious
- EssayRoo's refund policy is basically "we keep your money, you keep the bad paper"
