"TheEssayist" was great at first, but quality dropped on the second order.

Alright, gather 'round folks. Pull up a chair. This is a tale of two cities. Or rather, two orders. 🎭

Act One: The Setup

I found "TheEssayist" through this forum back in October. Needed a 5-page paper on French New Wave cinema (Godard, Truffaut, all the cool guys). Communication was chef's kiss. They asked thoughtful questions, referenced specific films, even name-dropped some obscure directors I'd never heard of. I was like "finally, a kindred spirit who understands that cinema is truth 24 frames per second." 🎥✨

Paper came back. Beautiful. 94%. I literally printed it and put it in a folder like it was art. Sent a thank you email. We were friends now, in my head at least.

Act Two: The Betrayal

Last week, I needed another paper. This time on sound design in horror films (way more niche, super specific). Same writer. Same price. Same promises.

What I got back was... sigh. 😬

It was like someone fed my first paper into an AI blender with some Wikipedia articles. No soul. No personality. Just facts strung together like a sad PowerPoint presentation. The section on diegetic sound was literally three sentences. THREE. In a 7-page paper!!

Act Three: The Confrontation

I emailed asking for revisions. They said "of course!" and sent back... the same paper with different fonts. I kid you not. Different. Fonts. 💀 I don't know what happened. Maybe they got too busy. Maybe they outsourced. Maybe the first paper was a fluke.

Verdict:

If you hire TheEssayist, get one thing and hope it's their good day. Second time was a disaster. Has anyone else had this happen?? Writers who are amazing once then fall off?? 🎪
